For pin assignment and device functions only the label in the connection terminal is relevant.

The interface to a end device is realised with a plug in module. At the moment those modules are available:

• 20 mA (CS-Interface) active or passive
• RS232 (RxD, TxD, CTS, RTS, GND, DTR, DCD/DSR)
• RS485
• M-Bus active (maximum of 10 devices) or passive

The communication can occour in many polupar transmission protocols, e. g. SCTM, LSV1, IEC1107, IEC870.

The universal communication device Metcom T X is thought for scanning every kind of measured data, firstly for the remote meter area. It is realised as conversion box and is used to physicaly ajust  and galvanicaly separate two interfaces.
